All employees undergo a comprehensive set of training courses covering everything from HIPAA and confidentiality to customer service and cybersecurity. We also offer additional training to assist our employees in building their soft skills and furthering their knowledge.

Over the years, several of our employees, many of whom were hired for entry-level positions, have remained with and evolved alongside the company. Those who were hired for call center agent or application validation jobs have since joined the corporate operations team, where they have continued to grow their skill sets and further explore their career interests.

With a main office in central Honolulu near Ala Moana, we are a diverse yet tightly knit company made up of remote, hybrid, and in-office workers. In today’s digital hiring landscape, scam job postings have become an increasingly serious problem. Fraudsters exploit popular job boards and social media platforms to post fake jobs with the intent to steal personal information or extract money from job seekers.

Why Scam Job Postings Are a Growing Concern

• Job scams have surged dramatically in recent years. These scams range from fake job offers requiring upfront payments to phishing schemes disguised as legitimate hiring processes.
• An extensive analysis of social media and job board data shows that scammers disproportionately target popular platforms where job seekers are most active.

To help fight these scams, Koan puts forth the following statements:

Contact Origin & Domain	We post all legitimate job openings on our official company website and reputable job boards like Indeed and LinkedIn. Each posting includes our company branding.
Interview Channel	Koan conducts interviews via professional video conferencing platforms. We will not extend job offers via text or chat or without virtual or in-person interviews.
Financial Requests	Koan will never ask candidates to pay for equipment, training, background checks, or wired money. Do not deposit any check sent by a “recruiter” and forward funds; this is a fake check scam.
Sensitive Information (PII)	Koan will never request your Social Security Number, bank account details, or driver’s license until a formal, signed offer has been accepted and official HR onboarding has commenced.
